An update from Lee and Torvi…..

When setting up a business it takes some time to find its identity. I will be honest, I really wasn’t sure where this idea of mine would go. From the moment I made the decision to buy some Paddle Boards for me, my friends and family to enjoy. To last year where we had over 2000 people paddle with NPB. Here we are now about to set paddle on another awesome year full of opportunities to paddle and be closer to yourself and nature.

NPB has become more than a paddle company, its a collective of people from all corners of life who are either looking to try this awesome up and coming water activity or, to those who have the paddle bug and love coming back to paddle with the rest of the Norfolk Paddle community.

All of you have all played a role in creating this beautiful caring community. I really am so thankful you have been part of our journey and hope you continue to be part of the next chapter in our adventure.

We all found our place on the incredible rivers of Norfolk and 2022 will see us inhabit these again.  We have had over 2000 people out on our Boards and this year we want to give you more chances and more locations to feel that peace and tranquility again.

Paddle Crew Changes

Winter 2021 has seen some changes to our awesome team. I’m Super pleased that some of our 2021 paddlers decided to become paddle instructors and join us in providing our customers with their wealth of knowledge and fun for our coming year.

Shona

Shona has taken a leap of faith in you all and had a change of career. From accountant to our new full time paddle Instructor and Lee’s second in command. Shona wants to be able to spend more time on the water sharing her love and passion for Paddling. Feedback before she’s even started is ‘ What a great energy to have on your team Lee’ A statement I totally agree with.

Chris

Chris

What'SUP Paddle Leader

Chris will be continuing to lead our incredible  group of guys who take to the water once a month for a paddle and a chat.  Chris,  a dad and Husband from Norwich found a love for this water sport and took advantage of the benefits for his mental health. Now, a year into running the What’SUP group, Chris has been able to introduce this sport and help others who also desire that space to talk or listen at the same time as being active. Visit out What’SUP page for more info.

Krysia

Krysia

Krysia will predominately be over at our Horstead site supporting the North Norwich SUP community. Giving those who have paddled at our other sites an opportunity to Paddle board on the glorious river Bure.  A Love for the water and thirst for sharing this with others, Krysia will be able to teach or take you on adventures over on the Bure, giving you the experience and the all important practice.

2021 saw Norfolk Paddle Boards bring the River Wensum to life with palm trees, dinosaurs and pumpkins. This year, with the added enthusiasm and expertise of our new crew we are going to bring you even more. From fancy dress paddles, paddles for the mind and body and just paddles to hangout with friends.  We have launched a full list of events that can be found by clicking the link below.

GETTING TO KNOW Our FRIENDS

I got in touch with some of our awesome regular paddlers to find out more about them and to see why they paddle and keep coming back to paddle with Norfolk Paddle Boards.

Over the season I will be sharing via our socials, the stories of our paddlers and why they choose to paddle with us. If you are thinking of paddling, want someone to ask some questions to that paddle with us then click on their profile and connect with them via their socials

HUGE thank you to everyone that responded and have allowed me to share their stories

Norfolks Men’s SUP Group is back.

Most of our subscribers and followers are woman, so if you are reading this please share this with the Men in your life as its aimed at them!

Join Chris, Lee and the other What’SUP paddlers in March for our first Men’s paddle of the year!

A chance for men to come for a paddle, a chat if they want and the chance to just get outside and clear their head and put life into perspective by talking to other guys. Its not about ‘deep’ chats all the time. Sometimes us men, just need to start a conversation. Share how we are feeling, make some sense of it, and be a man of more words.

Take advantage of our wonderful rivers of Norfolk and come for a paddle on the 19th March from The Redlion Bishopgate.

 SUP ‘ N’ SAUNA

Our April Equanimity event will see The Sauna Box making its way back to the Redlion Bishopgate for our first Sup’N’Sauna session of the season.

A perfect combination of tranquil paddling on the River Wensum before heading back to the river bank for a Sauna and Ice Bath ( or watering can shower )  These events have been incredibly popular in the past so make sure you don’t delay and book your ticket. As its the first one of the season, if you book 3 tickets you will get one free.  So, why not get six of you together and come hang out, catch up, and Sup’N ‘Sauna together for a wholesome Saturday.

 Coming up next..

One of our promises this year is too communicate with you all more regularly. Making sure you are kept up to date with all our latest news and events along with key safety information and advise from our crew and paddlers. Over the next few weeks we will be sending out some more information about the below. Keep an eye on socials and your email account for more information and some subscriber offers.
