Some useful information

WHAT TO WEAR?

Its important you are comfortable whilst on the board. The more comfortable you are in what you are wearing, the more relaxed you will feel, helping you paddle and not fall in.

Layers is always key – when you first get on the water it might be a bit chilly, however after you have paddled for a bit you will warm up.

  • Comfy active sports gear is a great choice in the summer. Dress for the weather. You will be in the water. Getting wet is definitely a possibility.
  • Bare feet in the summer as you do use your toes to grip to the board, if its a little colder, some old trainers wetsuit boots or shoes. ( we don’t provide these)
  • Colder weather we would advise a wetsuit ( summer at least 3mm and winter you might want 5mm)
WHAT ElSE SHOULD I BRING?

We take no responsibility for lost or damaged property

  • Bottle of water to keep hydrated ( you can put these in your dry bag provided)
  • A change of clothes for the car ( just incase you fall in)
  • A Towel ( just incase as well)
  • Suncream for those sunny days
  • Waterproof Jacket for those wetter days. A light waterproof jacket is a sensible addition.
  • Some snacks for the drive home –  you will burn some calories whilst out paddling so worth having some sustenance to re-fuel ( you also have the option to grab a bite at one of our River side pubs?
    DO I NEED A LESSON?

Its important you are comfortable whilst on the board. The more comfortable you are in what you are wearing, the more relaxed you will feel, helping you paddle and not fall in.

Useful youtube videos for some guidance

If you are taking the boards away.

    Step 1

Unpack the all terrain back pack which should include

    1. Paddle Board
    2. Paddle
    3. Titan 2 Pump and pipe
    4. Safety leash
    5. DryBag

If you are missing anything. Please call us straight away on 07442152007

    Step 2

    •  Unroll your paddle board fully on as flat surface as you can
    • unscrew the dust cap at the end of the board, making sure the pin is out (double check this otherwise all the air will come out)
    • Attach the safety leash onto the D-RING at the end of the board and secure the ankle strap to the middle handle on the board.

    Step 3

The world’s best SUP pump, it’s designed by our expert engineers to make inflating your board a cinch.

The secret is in the Dual-Chamber system and Hi-Flo handle, which pump air into our boards at up to 60mph, meaning they inflate to the recommended pressure level of between 15-20psi quicker than ever before, while using less energy. Less pumping, more paddling.

    1. ARMED AND READY

Attach the red hose to the valve on the board and the front of the Titan Pump, and begin pumping using your arms.

    2. BEND THE KNEES

As pressure builds and it becomes harder to pump, keep your arms straight and use your legs to generate power.

    3. THE MAGIC PART

As pressure builds, it becomes harder to pump. Flip THE RED HANDLE on the side of the pump and it will suddenly become much easier to pump again

    4. UNDER PRESSURE

Repeat steps one and two until your board is inflated to 15psi. The higher the pressure, the stiffer the board and the better the performance. We advise 16-22psi.

    Step 4

Make sure the straps and terrain backpack are packed away and you have all your belongings securely in your carry bag. If you are taking your phone and using one of our phone cases please note, they do not float and make sure its secure around your neck so it wont fall off if you fall in.

    Step 5

Put together your paddle by making sure you are inserting each end into the correct side. Please take some time to think about it and don’t try and just jam it in.

A good way to check you are putting it together correctly is to locate the metal click button on the blade section of the paddle and look for the hole on the middle section of the paddle.

when inserting the handle into the top, align the groove to help it slide in correctly.

    Step 6

Carry your board to your set off point by carefully picking it up from the carry handle. You want to have the bottom of the board horizontally against your body and the handle on the outside.

    Step 7

Before getting into the water, check your buoyancy aid is secure and your belongings are in your dry bag and this is held secure by the bungies on the front of your board.

Attach your leash to your dominant ankle
