FAQ’s

How much will it cost?

Norfolk Paddle Boards are offering us a discounted price for this event of £19.96 per person (usual cost £25 per person).

Do I need to know how to paddle board before joining the event?

No. You will be given full on land instruction prior to the session. However, if you want to book onto a lesson on the run up to our event Norfolk Paddle Boards are offering a 15% discount on lessons . If you’d like to take advantage of this, book onto a lesson via their website and use code LESSON1524 at check out.

Are there any age restrictions to taking part?

There is no minimum age, but anyone below the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by someone over 18.

Are there any physical fitness requirements?

This is a physical activity taking place on the river. While paddle boarding is very accessible, you need to be confident in the ability of yourself (and anyone you’re responsible for) to paddle and to be able to swim a short distance in the unlikely case of falling in the river. This is a social paddle, so although we will all paddle together as a group and keep an eye on each other, everyone is responsible for their own safety on the water. Life jackets will be provided. If you have any questions about this feel free to drop us a message for more information

What should I wear?

Synthetic layers which allow movement and dry quickly are the best option: e.g. sports leggings, loose clothing. Try to avoid jeans and cotton which may be very uncomfortable if they get wet!

On your feet: again, something comfortable and quick drying is best. You can also paddle bare foot.

We would highly recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel for after your paddle, just in case you fall in - these can be left with Norfolk Paddle Boards on site.
